I always thought the captain being rude to his son was really out there

Was their suppose to be more to it?

Like their was no backstory at all

Yeah I feel like that was a scene that needed more explanation to it a dangling thread that could have been fleshed out a bit with a conversation with Rennie about not getting along with his dad or wishing his dad wasn’t so hard on him.

That’s what happened when studios use 14 -16 year olds as screen testers for rated R movies made for Older Teens and Adults.

I said above a scene like that would get removed, but now I’m thinking we have DVDs, blu rays and other forms of physical media as well as YouTube. So we would still get to see a scene like one discussing the backstory of the boat captain. I’d love to see it.

Was Roy’s paramedic partner in Part V a jerk? I guess he was cynical so he wasn’t sympathetic to Roy being shocked but it seemed like he was kind of a jerk too.

Axel was kind of a jerk. He was joking around about the body saying she was still cute. I get he was kind of trying to be funny but it just came off as he was a jerk. He kind of reminded me of Bud singing his version of the song in Halloween II. He was less of a jerk then some other characters but I kind of wanted to punch him when I first saw the movie lol.
