It's with some saddening news to any and all Star Wars fans that the iconic voice behind Darth Vader himself James Earl Jones has retired and even signed his voice rights to LucasFilms and that a Ukranian-based company known as Respeecher will use archival recordings and an A.I. program system that will create new dialogues with the voices of the said performer or performers who have either aged out of their voice roles or have passed away.

This means it will still be James Earl Jones but will only be artifically given to us fans.

The AI program was actually used to recreate Vaders voice in the Obi-wan series that was recently released on Disney+…….. and although I am not a fan of Disneys Star Wars sequels or what they have done with the majority of the original characters I did enjoy Rogue One and the Mandalorian.
The scenes with Vader in Obi-wan were entertaining but a little over the top…..I thought the voice and Hayden Christian were fantastic in it……and the digital recreated voice worked very well.

James Earl Jones helped bring menacing life to Vaders character but he deserves his rest and retirement from the character for all he’s done as well….. as long as he is happy with the results and signed off on it I am as well.

I am more concerned with what Disney has planned with the Star Wars brand then the technology that will keep them sounding like the characters and alive as we remember them…..

Disney redeemed themselves alittle but Ray Marysue wannabe walker still is unforgivable.
