why so low for 4?

I was never really fond of part 4. The opener just didn't hit home with me. That movie really missed it's mark for me as a whole.

why so low for 4?

I was never really fond of part 4. The opener just didn't hit home with me. That movie really missed it's mark for me as a whole.

I understand that, and I don't blame people for loving the movie. I was in high school when the movie came out. I was having a hard time with a couple things, and my worldview was in tough shape. Part of the reason I don't like the movie carries over from that. Stuff in the movie itself bothers me. Ted getting on Jimmy's case resonated with me because people did that to me at the time, and it had to do with being blamed for " not getting any" because I didn't have a prayer. The drinking stuff was something I didn't like because I got pressured to drink. And then there was the way Jason got it in the end. Not my favorite visual. I guess I never got into the film because I was so angry and disgusted all the time at the time, and it tainted my view of the movie.

I agree completely with having been pressured to drink. I learned at a very young age the dangers of losing control of my faculties and humiliated. As for the rankings, I'd say it goes 2009 remake, 2, 6, X, 5, 4, JGTH, 3, 1, 4, 7, 8

the part where the ambulance and cop cars leave higgins haven and it goes all silent and dark is my favorite part of the whole series
