I am betting that this release will be the top selling Neca Ultimate Jason figure they have ever released.
I preordered two of them and I plan to pick up a 3 for customizing.

With how many pre-orders including two from me?? hell yes!!!

I also have one pre-ordered. Will probably pick another one up once it hits stores. Such an awesome figure, going to have to display one with his mask on and one without.

I agree they definitely did an amazing job with the sculpt and accessories with this figure.
The display-ability for this figure is incredible.

That was Womp Stomp's response when I asked about their Jason possibly being made by NECA. I had reached out to NECA about a week ago asking if there was any chance they could make Ghost Jason, all they said was "nothing planned.'

J7 updated again on NECA’s website. August/September is the expected release date now. I have a funny feeling the lawsuit may have something to do with this figure.

I messaged Randy at NECA over two weeks ago asking if the Horror Inc. vs Miller lawsuit was the reason behind the delays to J7. That is the only message I have ever sent that didn't get a reply. I'm almost convinced the lawsuit is preventing the figure now. I think they thought they had a way to get around the lawsuit, but ultimately, it fell through.

At this point, they should announce J7 is in limbo until the lawsuit settles and cancel all pre-orders.

Yeah Larry had explained it's not against the lawsuit. Sad

so this is making me very sad.

I tried asking on Twitter and I never get a response the company is never transparent...

I’m just glad Target is selling them still after that little hiccough where the woman got them pulled for a little while. I’m sorry but if your kid is asking to buy a Chucky figure, tell the kid no instead of moaning and complaining and getting them pulled off the shelves for a little while.

So I know it's not the same but I wonder if the Chinese Knockoffs that are always available of Neca figs, will have a part 7 Jason? I never mess with those but in this situation I really can't live in a world where I'm teased that gorgeous piece of plastic then I don't get it. The immense pain it'll cause is indescribable.

I was considering getting the knock off Turtles until I lucked up and got them off GameStop.com. It's really only up to the collector. If you want the figure and it doesn't bother you that it's not legit, by all means, get it. I'm not really sure they have a bootleg of J7 yet though.

Part 7 is my favourite undead Jason design hands down, so I'm really anxious to get this figure when it comes out. I'm hoping in the future they'll do part 8 and JGTH too.

J7 has been found at Walmart in Wisconsin and Illinois!!!! Be on the look out, haven’t heard an official announcement from NECA, but at least two people have him in hand and have shared photos.
